  1. What a great lot of first reviews, well done guys!

  2. Have our current leaders and their brand of leadership failed?
The skills of collaboration exercised in the management of critical relationships between institutions are essential requirements today.
Collaborative leadership clearly is lacking between governments and institutions, nationally and internationally. This is a major issue if we are to get financial institutions working again, and (re)generate the level of confidence required amongst electorates and private and public investors in order to get wealth moving and our economies working again.

  3. it’s not about success or failure. Traditional command and control leadership may have its place, but it can’t handle the need to share control in collaborative systems. We agree that there has been little evidence of collaborative leadership in the situations that you highlight. However, we see evidence of more collaboration ‘under the radar’ – trouble is that it’s not valued highly enough and is not being emphasised in the critical situations when conflict occurs.
